The Massachusetts Constables Communication Network (MCCN) is a secure and reliable statewide communication system designed exclusively for Massachusetts Constables. Using Push-to-Talk over Cellular (POC) technology, MCCN enables instant voice communication across the Commonwealth via smartphones, tablets, and dedicated PTT radios.

The platform enhances officer safety, streamlines coordination, and strengthens interoperability among Constables and partner organizations. Membership is limited to Massachusetts Constables only with verified credentials.

Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) establishes the rules and standards for use of the Massachusetts Constables Radio Network (“the Network”). By accessing or using the Network, all users agree to comply with this policy. The purpose is to ensure that communications are safe, professional, and consistent with the responsibilities of Massachusetts Constables.

Authorized Users

Access to the Network is strictly limited to appointed Massachusetts Constables in good standing.
Users must verify their appointment status before being granted access.
Sharing access credentials with unauthorized individuals is prohibited.

Acceptable Use

Official constable communications related to the service of process, civil matters, court documents, and professional coordination.
Urgent safety-related communications between constables.
Administrative notices and coordination of constable-related activities.

Prohibited Use

Personal use unrelated to constable duties.
Unlawful activity, including harassment, threats, or defamatory communications.
Discussion or coordination of arrests or criminal enforcement activity, which fall outside the authority of constables.
Profane, obscene, or disrespectful language over the air.
Interference with other users, misuse of 10-codes, or deliberate jamming of the Network.
Unauthorized recording or rebroadcasting of communications.

Confidentiality & Professionalism

Users must treat all communications as professional and confidential, unless disclosure is legally required.
Information learned through Network use may not be shared publicly or with unauthorized parties.

Monitoring & Enforcement

The Network may be monitored and logged to ensure compliance.
Violations of this AUP may result in:
- Temporary or permanent suspension of access. (re-activation fee may apply for re-instatement)
- Reporting to appointing authorities or governing bodies.
- Legal action if required.
